Every bit of information, every cheap sensor and every camera, is potentially visible from anywhere else in the world, whether that’s
- my phone
- a robot bunny with moving ears, Nabaztag (thanks Chris Heathcote)
- or Timo Arnall’s rfid post-it note desk
- Natalie Jeremijenko’s dangling string
Once connected to the internet, the planet collapses to a 1 dimensional dot and I can see from one side of the earth to the other. Data exists everywhere, we just reveal it.
I can no longer rely on how I navigated to some information to tell me what to make of it. It has to be comprehensible as soon as I experience it.
So what makes me think that looking at the senses is the way to figure out this comprehensibility issue?
It’s because this is indeed a renaissance of the senses, the biggest yet.
